No this is all wrong. A doom box is not helpful. They are boxes that hold things that are doomed. I have so many and they hold things that i forget I have. Adhd enhances out of sight out of mind. The worse thing for someone with adhd is a doom box. We need to get rid of doom boxes.
What adhd need is organised boxes, not more “organised” chaos!

i have never heard the term “doom box”… i have pretty crippling adhd and when i saw the term and adhd in the same glance at the article, i thought it was what i do… i have clutter all over the place i live… the tiniest place in all the land… and i get a bag or a box and put all the important paperwork that must be dealt with and sunglasses and notebooks and dog treats and on and on… and the intention is to have all the stuff in one spot, have a clear table and chairs, and to go thru it later or tomorrow and put everything where it goes… however, i having serious adhd, forget bout the box of important info and walk by it for days and weeks until i have clutter again i cannot stand another second, and add the stuff to the already filled box… so i keep adding my paper clutter to the same box and literally hide it under a pair of sweatpants or another box so i don’t have to see it and be uncomfortable and feel like a total loser bc i cannot make simple phone calls or figure out what to do with the paperwork. so yeah, doom box sounds like what i do… not the way it sounds here where one sweeps everything into a box and actually goes on to put everything away and answer the post and make the calls etc…
